 The compact disc medium has been the dominant storage medium for music, films and data for many years. The series of small paintings "Jewel Case" refers to the nostalgic associations that the format brings with it. The painting is a fictional cover and asserts a timeless presence.
 The CD case (jewel case) becomes the frame of the painting and is thus alienated from its actual function of protecting the CD.
